Keeping Fido Fed

With inflation, soaring food costs and reduced government assistance, it is increasingly more difficult to put food on the table, let alone kibble in the bowl.

At Animal Hospital at Thorndale, we believe that pet food pantries are needed now more than ever. As a privately-owned hospital, we are making a pre-Thanksgiving opportunity to support Chester County residents in feeding their pets because we know that while the bills are still due, we hope that Fido can still be fed.

We aim to ease the burden of feeding pets for families who may be facing financial hardships.

Our Pet Food Pantry initiative began November 1, and our community’s response has been incredible. We are sincerely grateful and are eager to continue giving back.

Pet food will be available for pick-up the week of Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, November 25, 2025 from 12 – 1 p.m. while supplies last.

To receive food, residents must complete our Assistance Form prior to pick-up.

All of us need help at some point. If our food bank grows as big as we hope it does, we plan to make a post-event donation to The Animal House Project, a local non-profit whose mission is to help pet parents keep pets at home and out of shelters during financial hardship. Their organization distributes pet food on a much larger scale, and we are proud to support and align with its mission.

Please support our pantry and our community.

Each donation enters you into a raffle for a $100 Wawa gift card. (Date of drawing to be announced.)

We are hoping that our food drive, which came in like a lamb, goes out like a lion.
