Our approach to veterinary medicine is radically different. It’s simpler and much more accessible. One of the main differences between Animal Hospital At Thorndale and larger referral hospitals is that we are a privately-owned entity. We are not forced to meet monthly quotas and neither our ethics nor our decisions are governed by a corporate board.

Our expertise is based on us truly caring and guided by us wanting to improve your pet’s life. We have candid conversations with pet owners about their beloved pet’s health and the continuity of care. Not only will we address your concerns, we’ll far exceed expectations.

It’s our small yet experienced staff who collectively and as individuals, take the extra step to provide the best care for you and your pet. We all share the common goal of healthier pets and stronger human bonds. This is where we stand heads and tails above larger corporate hospitals.

We are more than just an urgent care hospital. Hospital owner and boarded emergency and critical care specialist Dr. Melissa Java is at the helm of our urgent care. She brings years of specialty, emergency and critical care medicine to our hospital. This has been our plan all along. Before opening Animal Hospital At Thorndale in 2021, we envisioned bringing urgent and critical care in addition to general practice to the Greater Chester County. This is what we are here to do.

There’s no need to wait and worry for hours in the front lobby while your pet is in the back. We’ll keep you in the loop and next to your pet. If need be, we can consult with our boarded surgeon, boarded radiologist and utilize our specialty nurses to provide comprehensive care. Overall, we prioritize affordability without compromising on excellence of care.
